EmpireCalc keeps cookies to a minimum. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you consent.

1. What we store

• Consent choice (local storage, key ec-consent): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again. Stays on your device.
• Google Analytics (cookies prefixed _ga): set only after consent in the EU/UK/Switzerland, or by default elsewhere. Used for anonymized, aggregate usage measurement.
• Google AdSense (advertising cookies set by Google and its partners, e.g. on doubleclick.net): used to serve, personalize and measure ads, including based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Set only after consent in the EU/UK/Switzerland. Opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
• Remembered inputs (local storage, keys starting ec:shared:): a few answers you give — like income, age or filing status — prefill the same field on other calculators. Stays on your device and is never sent to us; remove it with "Clear saved details" on any calculator or by clearing site data.

2. What we do NOT do

• We do not store the figures you type into calculators in any cookie.
• We do not load social-media tracking cookies.
• We do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers.

3. Managing cookies

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely; every calculator will still work.
